Convergence Consulting Group (CCG) is honored to be named as Florida State University’s inaugural Seminole 100 recipient and will be formally recognized at a ceremony on March 2, 2019 at the University Center Club.
The Seminole 100 recognizes the 100-fastest-growing FSU alumni-owned business in the U.S. at a celebration on FSU’s campus each year. This award is presented at an annual celebration in March, by the Jim Moran Institute For Global Entrepreneurship at FSU’s College of Business. CCG will learn their official ranking during the award ceremony.
Since its opening in 2002, CCG has been proud a partner to FSU, recruiting great minds to its business intelligence practice. Three of the four founding partners to the business, Sam Powell, Brian Rimes, and Dan Rodriguez are FSU students, all three receiving degrees in Management Information Systems. The four partners worked in management for a highly prestigious consulting company just four years prior to opening the doors to their own practice in 2002. This is the ninth consecutive year CCG has received recognition from Inc. 5000’s Fastest Growing Private Companies and second year to receive recognition from the Seminole 100. Alongside the strategic partnership with FSU, CCG has developed a college graduate program allowing opportunities for Florida university graduates and encourages student development in the consulting field.
“We’re inspired by the way our alma mater has continued to climb the ‘Best Colleges’ ranking year after year, affirming that Florida State is not only a great university to get an education at, but it’s also a great place for employers to meet and hire top talent” said Sam Powell, Executive Vice President of Operations and partner at CCG.
To qualify for the Seminole 100, companies must have generated revenues by January 2015 and shown significant growth by 2017. The business also needs to be privately held, for profit, based in the U.S. and be owned by an FSU alum.
