CCG Ranks in FSU Seminole 100

Sep 01, 2017

Convergence Consulting Group (CCG) is honored to be named as Florida State University’s inaugural Seminole 100 and will be formally recognized at a ceremony on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at FSU’s University Center Club.

Presented by the Florida State University, the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship the FSU Alumni Association and Inc. magazine, the Seminole 100 recognizes the 100 fastest growing business owned by FSU alumni. Inc. magazine, using the criteria, they developed for their annual Inc. 5000 list, calculated each company’s compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past three years to generate the ranking.

CCG will learn their official ranking during the award ceremony in March.

Since its opening in 2002, CCG has been proud a partner to FSU, recruiting great minds to its business intelligence practice. Three of the four founding partners to the business, Sam Powell, Brian Rimes, and Dan Rodriguez are Nole’s fans and former FSU students, all three receiving degrees in Management Information Systems. The four partners worked in management for a highly prestigious consulting company just four years prior to opening the doors to their own practice in 2002. This is the eighth consecutive year CCG has received recognition from Inc. 5000’s Fastest Growing Private Companies and first year to receive recognition from the Seminole 100. Alongside the strategic partnership with FSU, CCG has developed a college graduate program allowing opportunities for Florida university graduates and encourages student development in the consulting field.

“Founded by native Floridians and headquartered in Tampa, we are proud of and dedicated to the continued growth of talented analytics professionals in Florida”. Said Brian Rimes, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Partner at CCG. “We’re particularly excited to be recognized by Florida State as alumni and are working closely with the university to establish our 4th recruiting program tied directly into their data and analytics programs in the College of Business”.

To qualify for the Seminole 100, companies must have generated revenue by March 3, 2013, and shown significant growth by 2016. Additionally, the business must be privately held, for profit, based in the U.S. and be owned by an FSU alum.

“The Seminole 100 is an important initiative that recognizes entrepreneurial excellence,” said Randy Blass, Executive Director of the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship. “It is open to all companies owned by FSU alumni who meet eligibility criteria, and recognizes those who are achieving growth, innovating, and making a difference in their communities”.
