Senior Business Systems Analyst

Location: Tampa or Atlanta

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst with CCG, you will have the opportunity to work closely with fellow CCGers to understand our client’s analytic needs and develop innovative solutions that enable the analytic capabilities that drive their business decision-making.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 7-10 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as an analyst in a BI and/or data warehouse environment
  • Business and functional requirements development and analysis.
  • Understands customers’ objectives, processes, and products to make educated recommendations.
  • Understand requirements and use your expertise to transform them into valuable solutions
  • Acts as liaison between Business and IT, as assigned.
  • Pro-actively manages BA initiatives, deadlines and commitments
  • Fills leadership voids and provides direction to the solution team when needed
  • Closely work with business and technology leaders to solve for the business problems
  • Excellent facilitation, requirements elicitation and documentation skills
  • Able to convey a shared understanding of problems, opportunities and solutions
  • Able to negotiate resolutions between different stakeholders/groups
  • Positive and approachable personality with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Can visually represent current and future states
  • Can create executive level presentation material and present at the C-suite level
  • Comfortable working as part of a virtual team that leverages voice or video conferencing services for collaborative sessions
  • Experience creating work breakdown structures, project plans and/or product backlogs
  • Experience crafting clear acceptance criteria for testing BI and data warehouse solutions
  • Effectively partners with Sales and/or Project Management teams to align functional requirements with objectives defined in project charters or statements of work (SOW)
  • Develop methodology documents based on self-initiated interviews, diagrams, surveys and workflow analysis
  • Create detailed plans for execution and implementation of new processes, including budgetary guidelines and key personnel
  • Oversee the life cycle of changes to business systems and prepare detailed reports for executive management
  • Experience using SQL to profile data and perform data discovery 

Preferred Technical Skills

  • Prior experience working in a consultative environment
  • Demonstrated client relationship skills with a strong commitment to understand and work with business users
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
  • Time management, prioritization and organization with the ability to prioritize activities and drive multiple tasks at once.
  • Experience with Agile SCRUM methodology and business analysis methodologies preferred.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Visio
  • Experience with metadata management tools, such as Embarcadero (ER/Studio), Informatica PowerCenter (Metadata Manager, Business Glossary) or Collibra
  • Experience with wireframing or creating rapid prototypes
  • IIBA or PMI-PBA or equivalent certification
  • Experience managing project budget and/or scope
