Data Governance Solution Architect

As a Consultant with CCG, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the VP of Delivery, Account teams, Sales, Product Development and fellow CCG’ers to identify our client’s analytic vision and develop plans for their successful execution of that vision.

Required skills:


  • Has credibility in the field of data governance; has published papers, written blogs and/or has spoken at conferences. Is considered a thought leader in data governance and has a strong network.
  • Has developed content for data governance workshops and is comfortable presenting to 40+ people.
  • Is able to roll up sleeves and work as an individual contributor delivering content to clients in a billable capacity.
  • Has created multiple data governance strategies and road maps for various industries and various sized organizations.
  • Has a minimum of three deeply technical skills related to governance (master data management, metadata, data governance methodology, change management, data quality and or data architecture).
  • Is comfortable working at all levels of an organization.
  • Is comfortable supporting and leading data governance initiatives throughout the entire data governance life-cycle. Needs more than just metadata or just master data management experience (must be able to speak at business and technical levels).
  • Fully understands that data governance is more than technology.
  • Can help shape the data governance product offerings at CCG; Provides thought leadership both internally and externally.
  • Is up to date on data governance trends.
  • Is willing to engage in partner workshops.
  • Travel is a must. Client visits, attending and running workshops, supporting sales pursuits, solutioning for clients, etc. is a large part of this role.

Sales Support

  • Work with prospective clients to understand their wants and needs and transform them into a custom vision using CCG’s strategic product offerings.
  • Partner closely with the Sales team to deliver impactful demonstrations to prospects and clients.
  • Lead prospective clients through Q&A, solution scoping and design, and articulation of our value proposition.
  • Learn CCG clients’ stories and match the prospective clients’ requirements to solutions.
  • Lead all aspects of RFI/RFP responses related to strategy engagements.
  • Has developed sales and marketing content.
  • Able to convey a shared understanding of problems, opportunities and solutions.


  • Extensive experience working in multiple verticals with aspirations for executive level function.
  • 10-15 years of corporate managerial experience and/or consulting industry experience.
  • 7+ years of IT Strategy.
  • Knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
  • Architecture Services
  • Information Management
  • Package/Enterprise Software Implementation
  • Organizational Change Management
