Summer Consultant Boot Camp Graduates Announced

Jul 02, 2018

As CCG continues to grow and expand its talented workforce, the group welcomes four new hires this summer. Victoria Austin, Oren Ayalon, Sloane Bochman, and Dan Lueck all completed the CCG Boot Camp program where they had the opportunity to learn about the company’s consulting skills, data and analytics principles, and delivery methodologies, among other business intelligence areas.

All four of the new hires graduated from the University of Florida where CCG will be attending the Career Showcase on September 24, 2018 during the Heavener Career Week. In addition, CCG will also be attending FSU’s Seminoles Future Career Event on September 27, 2018.

Victoria AustinVictoria Austin joins CCG with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from the UF. Victoria’s interest in data analytics stems from her involvement in R Workshops at the university where students would have Q&A sessions with statistics professors before being given the chance to massage and manipulate data sets for themselves. This experience encouraged Victoria to research the subject further and she took online classes in data analytics, data visualization, and SQL. This curiosity in data, BI and analytics will be sure to come in use with her new position at CCG.

Oren AyalonOren Ayalon completed his bachelor’s in Management Information Systems at UF where he was also a member of GatorTech. While involved in GatorTech, Oren had the chance to learn about data analytics, cloud computing, blockchain, and host of other technology topics and conducted his own SQL workshop which explored it's applications in modern organizations. Oren has previous experience as an Inventory Planning Intern at Macy’s where he conducted analysis reports to improve the turnover of inventory. This, combined with the fact he has completed the Microsoft BI Stack, means Oren is no novice when it comes to analytics.

Sloane BochmanWith her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and Management and a Masters in International Business, Sloane Bochman, is the third of our UF Graduates. Sloane is a member of the Florida Blue Key and a J. Wayne Reitz Scholar, recognizing her academic achievement and leadership. As well as this, she has also completed training in the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack. Combined with her role as a Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis Intern at Northrop Grumman, Sloane’s experience is one which will stand her in good stead as she begins her career with CCG.

Dan LueckCompleting our clean sweep of UF graduates is Daniel Lueck. Dan got his bachelors in Statistics and, while at the university, founded the Florida Sports Analytics Association. With the association, he competed in the Diamond Dollars Baseball Analytics Case Competition at Columbia University where they presented their picks for the three most valuable position players in MLB. Dan’s analytic skills were also honed during his time at R+L Global Logistics where he worked as a Logistics Account Executive Intern and assisted in improving the automation of the processes. This interest in analytics has already proved valuable in Dan’s career.

On the hiring process of CCG’s newest recruits, Devon Reddick, Talent Acquisition Specialist, said, “Our highest priority for expanding our new hire team is identifying the highest-performance collegiate candidates that we know will make a high impact in our Consultant Boot Camp. We understand that in order to secure the highest calibre of student talent, we have to rely on strategic relationships with both college and student-run organizations. Our most recent class of graduates had diverse backgrounds ranging from Engineer, Statistics, and Financial Leadership. Regardless of their educational backgrounds, they all shared a high level of analytical aptitude and a desire to leverage their natural skill set to solve larger challenges for our clients.”

We are excited for all four of our new CCG members and are excited to have them as part of the team. For more information on CCG’s boot camp, click here. If you are interested in career opportunities at CCG, find out more about new positions here or contact us at careers@ccgbi.com.
